To apply for the Canon CD-SDK
 
The Canon Digital Imaging Developer Resources is free and open to developers in South & Southeast Asia*.
 
* Important Note:
India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong only. Other than the countries mentioned, Canon Singapore Pte Ltd does not distribute the CD-SDK outside its region of operation (South and Southeast Asia), hence applications from other regions would not be considered. Please contact your local Canon Sales Companies for more information.
   
    - Developers residing within the Americas are requested to register with Canon USA, Inc.
  - Developers residing within Oceania are requested to register with Canon Australia Pty Ltd.
  - Developers residing within Europe are requested to register with Canon Europa
 
 
Eligibility Criteria
 
To be eligible for the Digital Camera SDKs, you should be operating as a legally registered company. Applications from private individuals will only be considered if a legitimate business purpose for using the developer information is provided.
 
Basically, the provision of the CD-SDK to software developers who are interested in, and apply for it is subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
 
1.
The software developer must belong to a legally registered company or organization, or governmental institution operating under the laws of the country in which it is established.
2.
The software developer must provide a legitimate purpose (business or internal use) for which the developer intends to use the SDK, and relevant information therein.
3.
Applications from academic institutions or organizations (e.g. a university, college, polytechnic or school) may be considered if the application is made by a valid member of the faculty staff, or an authorized member of the staff thereof.
4.
The applicant must agree to, and be willing to sign the terms and conditions as stipulated in our Software Distribution Agreement, which is essentially a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), before the SDK can be provided.
 
 
Application Process
 
Print out and complete the SDK Application Form and Distribution Agreement below. (Please note that incomplete and/or illegible application forms will be rejected, and signing on the Distribution Agreement signifies acceptance of the Terms and Conditions for the use of the SDKs).
A valid email and postal address must be provided.
The Application Form and 2 sets of Distribution Agreements are to be officially submitted to the Canon office in your country (or the Canon office in the nearest country if there is no Canon office in your country) by surface / postage mail.
To facilitate the application:
1.
The Application form must be completed and legible (preferably typed).
2.
Applicant / signatory must be an approved / authorized staff of the company, i.e., manager and above level.
3.
2 sets of Distribution Agreements (for each version of SDK applied) are required and must be duly signed by the authorized signatory accompanied by the Company stamp – the name of the signatory must be clearly spelt out / indicated, failing which the application will be rejected.
4.
 Applications via e-mail or Fax will not accepted.
5.
Applications from other countries other than the ones mentioned in this website will not be entertained.

If your application is successful, the SDK will be provided free-of-charge to you by surface mail or delivery. (Please allow 10 ~ 20 working days for processing.)
Suffice to say that as a minimum prerequisite, the applicant should fulfill the above stated conditions as a basis for consideration. As the owner of the Intellectual Property (i.e., the Software Development Kit), Canon Singapore Pte Ltd reserves the right to reject any application unconditionally.

NOTE: As the SDK is provided on a free-of-charge basis, and as mentioned in the Canon Digital Camera Software Developers Kit License Agreement, which must be accepted by you prior to receiving the SDK, the Canon Digital Camera SDK is offered as is it without technical support.
