High Image Quality the Pros will Jump at
The image sensor of an EOS DSLR camera is very much larger than that found on a conventional video camera. EOS Movie, which makes use of such a large-format sensor, delivers high-resolution and clear Full HD video images. The large format sensor results in reduced noise even while shooting at high ISO speeds. Clear night scene images, expression with a shallow depth of field and cinematic scenes that put a portrait subject into relief through the creation of a large background blur are all possible. For even more forms of expression, a wide range of EF lenses such as fish-eyes and super telephotos is also available. The EOS-1D X Mark II / 1D C/ EOS 5D Mark IV can also shoot 4K movies.
Compatible Models: 1D C, 1D X II, 5D IV, 5DS, 5DS R, 6D II, 6D, 7D II, 80D, 77D, 800D, 750D, 700D, 200D, 3000D, 1500D, 1300D, 1200D, M6, M5, M3, M100, M50, M10

4K Movie and Frame Grab
Using a 4096 × 2160 (26.9mm × 14.2mm) pixel area in the centre portion of the sensor, the camera records with no format conversion.
The EOS-1D X Mark II / 1D C / EOS 5D Mark IV record 4K movies with a 4096 × 2160 (26.9mm × 14.2mm) pixel recording area located in the centre portion of the sensor, and the resulting data is stored without conversion into other resolutions. The Frame Grab function that is installed in EOS-1D X Mark II/5D IV allows a single frame of approximately 8.8 megapixels to be extracted during playback of a 4K movie and saved as a JPEG image*.* Saving a still image from a single movie frame does not result in the same image quality as a normal still image.
